Children, Family, Baby Photographer in Orange County

This little newborn cutie patootie is Baby Elane of Orange County, she’s daughter to one of our very dear wedding clients couples who hired us to photograph their wedding and as the songs says.. first comes marriage than comes the baby… well I think it’s how it goes. But anyway, had a great time photographer them together at their home in Aliso Viejo.
Look at this little precious bundle of joy! She’s little Meghan from Huntington Beach at 14 days old for these shots, isn’t she adorable!! Mom and dad called me pretty last minute the other day, asking for a newborn session. it was actually dad calling me at the request of mom of course, moms know best and she was not going to miss having her little precious one photographed at newborn. Meghan’s session went pretty typical, a lot of feeding and changing diapers, and a lot of patience waiting for her sleeping time. But the end product is of course all this mom could have hoped for and very artistic shots of her little bundle of joy.
no comments I enjoy all the fun aspects of my family portrait sessions, the formal parts are necessary and it’s where I practice a lot of patience preparation and planning, add to this all the technical stuff as it comes alive on the day and there you have the portrait family, but my point is that there are so many other elements that can spontaneously erupt and come out of nowhere, not so for the the families I’m sure they know their kids personalities, and it’s these cute and tender personalities that can be fleeting to capture but as a parent myself it’s exactly what I would loved captured as in this session with the Tran family I just had. The highlight is when the session is all over and these images are framed and sitting on a desktop or counter top somewhere at moms work or grandmas house, it is indeed priceless to look back and enjoy these moments. Here’s a little email I received from this family about the pictures, makes my day of course!! “John- I don’t know how you do it, but you really do capture the spirit of the children in those photos ( I sincerely mean it). I can feel them “jump out” at me and hear their giggles and laughs… thank you! Thank you Stephanie!!
no comments This beautiful young lady is going to be celebrating her Bat Mitzvah in a big way in just a few weeks, pretty exciting!! Mom called me up for some portraits at the beach last minute, plans changed fairly quickly and the session was moved to her home. All in all a pretty typical session, I anticipated a few wardrobe changes, some with cool shades of colors, others a little warmer and my favorite, the one on the stairway, very high fashion. These are showing the soft and beautiful pleasing wraparound light that I love to photograph in. The plans for these images is to have one of these printed life-size and displayed at her reception. I love how youthful and full of energy she looks, she’s beaming obviously!!
